  19. ShowSize V1.4: A directory sizing disk-space utility (DOS)
  20.  
  21. New! Also supports Win95 long names! Get a big picture of the disk
  22. space taken up by various directories on your hard disk. Ever wished
  23. for a DOS utility that can quickly find the total occupied size of a
  24. directory?  ShowSize can help you do that and more. It also lists
  25. occupied-sizes of the top-level subdirectories of a given directory.
  26. A real help when cleaning up to get more disk space! ShowSize is also
  27. excellent for network administrators who want to monitor the space

  41. INSTALLING SHOWSIZE:

  43. No special installation is required. It's better to move SHOWSIZE.EXE
  44. to a directory on your path so that you can use it from anywhere. For
  45. example, if you keep all your utilities in a directory called
  46. C:\UTIL which is on your path, then type the following DOS command:
  47.   COPY SHOWSIZE.EXE C:\UTIL

  50. HOW TO USE SHOWSIZE:

  52. Type "SHOWSIZE ?" for help on usage.
  53.  
  54. Try ShowSize for a while and if you like it, please become a licensed user 
  55. by paying a US $15 registration fee to the author. You get several benefits 
  56. by registering the program including a Bonus utility ShowExts. For details, 
  57. please type "ShowSize ?" on the DOS prompt and look at **BONUS OPTIONS**.

  61. ShowSize is a Shareware program. That means you are expected to pay a 
  62. registration fee to the author in order to continue using this software 
  63. beyond the initial trial period of thirty days. Remember, the author is not 
  64. compensated for his efforts unless you register. With your support, it is 
  65. possible for the author to continue providing enhancements for ShowSize and 
  66. develop other useful shareware.

  68. HOW TO REGISTER AND REGISTRATION BENEFITS:

  70. The registration fee for ShowSize is only $15. You can register online on 
  71. Compuserve. GO SWREG and register Id #5535. When you register, I will send 
  72. you a "registration-key" file by email. Installing the "registration-key" 
  73. will register your copy of ShowSize and will also show your name as the 
  74. registered user. In particular, you will get a show tree option showing 
  75. complete tree of subdirs and their sizes. Please look at the sample TREE 
  76. output in the file TREESAMP.TXT. YOU ALSO GET A BONUS UTILITY SHOWEXTS.
